Kenneth G. Waters

Kenneth Waters was born on March 12, 1924, in Davenport, OK, and departed this life on Thursday, November 11, 2010, in Davenport, OK, at the age of 86. Kenneth, the son of Alfred P. and Mildred (Townsley) Waters, was a long-time resident of Davenport, OK. He served in the United States Army during WWII. Kenneth married Betty Oliver on August 16, 1947. He worked as a mechanic at Taylor Ford in Chandler, OK, for many years and was a member of the Davenport First Baptist Church. His parents, two sisters and four brothers preceded Kenneth in death. Survivors include, wife, Betty of the home, one son & daughter-in-law, Dan & Mary Waters of Davenport, OK, three sisters, Anna Lou Awann of Davenport, OK, Virginia Waters of Davenport, OK, Betty Grimm of Kansas, six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, other relatives and many friends. Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 15, 2010, 10:00 AM at Davenport First Baptist Church in Davenport with Rev. Mike Mitchell officiating. Interment will follow at Davenport Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler.
