Kenneth Eugene Long was born on April 7, 1928, in Martins Ferry, Ohio, and departed this life and went to his eternal home on October 4, 2013, in Shawnee, Oklahoma, at the age of 85. Ken, the son of Raymond Long and Lucy Fay (Summers) Long, was a resident of Prague, Oklahoma. He loved God and His Word. He was a pilot in the Marine Corps, was an avid aviator, built radio controlled planes and built a one person plane which he enjoyed flying. Early in Ken’s career as an aviator he operated an air taxi service in Ohio and later California. He then went to work for Standard Brand Paints and managed stores in Texas. He retired to Prague in 1987. Ken was a member of the Rotary Club, he was an accomplished guitarist playing guitar since the tender age of 9, and he dearly loved music. Ken was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, two sisters, two sons, Ken Long, Jr. and David Long, his first wife, Edith and his second wife, Betty. Survivors include: special friend, J. Alberta Ward of Shawnee, Oklahoma, and sons and daughter-in-law, Mark and Nicole Long of Boise, Idaho, and Terry Long of Spokane, Washington. ~ Private family services ~
