Kathryne Ester Melton

Kathryne Ester Melton was born in Ponca City, OK on September 28, 1921 and departed this life in Seminole, Oklahoma on Saturday, November 14, 2009 at the age of 88 years. Kathryne was the daughter of John Maynard and Helen (Barr) Ullery. She was a resident of Stroud and Kendrick area most of her life. She married William B. Melton Sr. in Davenport, Oklahoma. She was a member of the Stroud Christian Church, worked as the Post Master in Kendrick. Kathryne was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and 2 brothers. Survivors include, One Son, William B. Melton Jr. of Kendrick, OK, One Daughter, Clarissa M. Melton of Stroud, OK, One Brother, Robert David Ullery of Texas, One Sister, Martha Fredrick of Edmond, OK, Five Grandchildren, David Henshaw, Brigette Melton, Brenton Melton, Lisa Vail and Brian Melton, Eleven Great Great Grandchildren, Other relatives and Friends. Funeral service will be held at the Stroud Christian Church in Stroud, Oklahoma on Tuesday, November 17, 2009 at 10:30 A.M. with Pastor Will Fine and Rev. Darrell Robinson officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Stillwater, Oklahoma at 1.30 P.M. under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Stroud, Oklahoma.
