Life Story Kathryn Patricia Chesser Kathryn Patricia Chesser was born on February 5, 1931, in Rockford, Michigan, and departed this life on Friday, November 24, 2017, in Seminole Oklahoma, at the age of 86. Kathryn, the daughter of George and Bernadine (Pine) Ryon, was a resident of Seminole. She married Upton Mathers, Homer Jenkins and Jack Chesser. Kathryn didn’t graduate high school, but with grit and determination got her GED, then bachelor’s and master’s degrees in education from East Central University. Kathryn taught special education for many years in the Stigler school system. She was preceded in death by her parents; three husbands; one son, Rodney Mathers; and one brother Duane Ryon. Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Delbert and Tonya Mathers of El Monte, CA and Kenneth and Jerry Mathers of Anson, TX; daughter and son-in-law, Sue Lyn and Robert Geisendorff of Vidor, TX; one sister, Patricia Harvey of Arlington,TX; 5 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 30, 2017 at 10:00 AM, at the Church of Christ in Little with Kirby Hinds officiating. Interment will follow at Little Cemetery.
