Kathrine Eyline Hobbs

Kathrine Eyline Cox Hobbs 77, went to be with her Heavenly Father on January 12, 2007. She was born January 17, 1929 in Cache, Oklahoma to Joe Wilburn and Sarah Malissia Cox Ashford. She married John Vinn Hobbs on October 20, 1943. They moved to Harrah in 1967 where they owned and operated a DX gas station and grocery store for eleven years. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John V. Hobbs; one brother, Thomas Cox of Oregon; two sisters, Mildred Lyon of Harrah, Oklahoma, Helen Luna of Geronimo, Oklahoma; one great- grandson, Nathan Ryan Lee Coughran of Midwest City, Oklahoma; a niece and nephews. She is survived by her sister, Marie Sheppard of Washington; her brother, Charles Cox of Houston, Texas; her four children, Larry and Betty Hobbs of Midwest City, Oklahoma, Rex and Linda Hobbs of Geronimo, Oklahoma, Royce and Connie Melton of Harrah, Oklahoma, Stephen and Sandra Chambers of Harrah, Oklahoma; 13 grandchildren; 19 great- grandchildren; 3 great-great- grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. We would like to THANK the staff of Preferred Hospice of Oklahoma City and the staff of the Harrah Nursing Center. Services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 17, 2007 at the Asa Smith Memorial Chapel, Harrah, Oklahoma, with Chaplain Ray Wade officiating. Kathrine will be laid to rest at Memory Lane Cemetery, Harrah, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of Smith-Parks Funeral Service, Harrah, Oklahoma.
