Karen Kay Atterberry, age 61, of Newalla, OK, was born on November 8, 1946, in Oklahoma City, OK. She was the daughter of Oran Jeff & Opal Inez Warren Parish. She left this life on August 15, 2008, in Midwest City, OK. Kay attended Capitol Hill High School and Rose State College. She married Gerald Atterberry on May 18, 1979 in Carolyn Wood''s home in Del City, OK. She worked as a bookkeeper for ORCC and Kerr McGee and was a country and western entertainer. Kay was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Kay was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Quentin Paige, one brother and two sisters. Survivors include her husband, Gerald Atterberry of the home; 4 daughters & sons-in-law, Troilynn & Leon Billy, Del City, OK, Carolyn & Charlie Green, Norman, OK, Kaycee & Greg Valencia, Okla. City, OK, Jessica & Jon Mullendore, Newalla, OK; 2 step-sons & spouses, Mark & Beth Atterberry, Okla. City, OK, Dale & Becky Atterberry, Okla. City, OK; 5 sisters; 15 grandchildren, Mitchell & Sarah Billy, Adam & Jennifer Billy, Addison & Reanna Hulsey, Dustin Hulsey, Harrison Hicks, Anthony Valencia, Jakob Mullendore, Ethan Atterberry, Dalton Atterberry, Ashley Atterberry, Adam Atterberry and Amber Atterberry; 6 great-grandchildren, Ayla, Kayla, Mason, Izzy, Ethan & Mitchell and many other relatives and friends. Services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, August 18, 2008, at the Asa Smith Memorial Chapel, Harrah, OK with Chaplain Bob Willis officiating. Interment will follow at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery, Newalla, OK. Services are under the direction of Smith~Parks Funeral Service in Harrah, OK.
