Junior Earl Clonts

Junior Earl Clonts was born on November 23, 1937, in Paden, and departed this life on Tuesday, June 14, 2011, in Paden, Oklahoma, at the age of 73. Junior, the son of Troy L. and Mary Cleo (Brown) Clonts, was a life-long resident of Paden. He married Carolyn Case on August 24, 1957 in Bristow, Oklahoma. Junior proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He was a member of the Paden Freewill Baptist Church, a welder, and retired from the Paden Fire Department where he had served as the fire chief. His parents; one son, Marty Clonts; sister, June Nutt;and one brother preceded Junior in death. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Carolyn Clonts of the home; daughters and son-in-law, Pamela Jane Scarberry of Edmond, Johnny, Jr., and Rhonda Earlene Lewis of Semmes, AL; son and daughter-in-law, Glen Earl and Stephanie Clonts of Paden; sisters and brother-in-law, Susie Leonard of Paden, Barbara Dowty of Paden, Brenda Clonts of Paden, Sharon and PeeWee Perry of Paden; 8 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends at Parks Brothers Funeral Home on Wednesday evening, June 15, 2011, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 16, 2011 at 2:00 PM, at the Freewill Baptist Church in Paden with Bro. Jim Eastep officiating and Bro. Bill Case and Bro. Cal Hunter assisting. Interment will follow at the Paden Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
