Judy Murfin, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother passed away Tuesday morning March 29, 2022. She was 79 years old and surrounded by loving family members when she passed. Judy was born to Hazel Marie and Buck Seymour on March 17, 1943. She graduated Stroud Highschool in 1961. She went to cosmetology school during high school and was a 6-time FFA queen and runner up Miss Oklahoma. Soon after she married Jerry Murfin September 17, 1961, they started J &M Plumbing in spring of 1975. She had Raggedy Ann Antique & Craft store in 1982 and Nails by Judy in 1993. Judy & Jerry were both ordained by Bill White in 1984. They began New Covenant Church in 1985 and started doing mission trips to Jamacia, Africa, Philippines, and Japan. They started a prison ministry in 1992 where she was one of the first woman to preach in prison to men and women alike. She began a 17-year global mission to touch people through a radio ministry around the world. She started teaching Sunday School in Fontana California and continued for 50 years. She loved teaching the word of God to anyone who was willing to listen. Her ability to teach came from her continuous search for knowledge in everything Christianity from reading the bible to studying Hebrew text. Judy is survived by her husband of 61 years Jerry Murfin of the home. Son Fred and Kim Murfin of Wilson OK, granddaughter Carissa and Kaleb Aycox and great grandchildren Alee and Nicolaus Aycox of Wilson OK. Son Larry and Pam Murfin of Sapulpa, granddaughter Erin Murfin of Tulsa OK, grandson Jared and Amy Murfin and great grandchildren Rivers and Blake Murfin of Sapulpa OK, grandson Hayden and Kayla Hopkins of Sapulpa OK and grandchildren Harrison and Hudson Hopkins of Sapulpa OK. Son Steve and Tracy Murfin, grandchildren Caleb and Gabriella Hazel Murfin of Stroud OK. Granddaughter Kelsie and Jordan Crawley, great grandson Nazareth Crawley of Tulsa OK. Brother Bill Miller from Depew OK and many other family members. Judy was preceded in death by her parents Hazel Marie and Buck Seymour, grandson Cory Murfin of Wilson OK, sister Barbara McFarland of Agra OK, and twin brother Jerry Miller of Stroud OK Please join her family in a celebration of life on Saturday April 2 at 2pm at the Stroud Public School Auditorium 1096 E 7th St Stroud OK Psalm 48:14 For this God is our God forever and ever; he will be our guide even to the end.
