Judy Elaine Hightower

Judith "Judy" Elaine Hightower of Prague, went to be with her Lord and Savior on May 4, 2023 in Prague, at the age of 73. Judy was born on September 10, 1949 in Phoenix, Arizona. She was the daughter of Odis and Lois (Adams) Barbee.

Judy was a 1967 graduate and valedictorian of Calvin High School. Following high school, Judy attended the University of Central Oklahoma, where she graduated with her bachelors degree and later on, her masters degree. Judy went to work for Prague Public Schools in 1975 as a first grade teacher. Upon obtaining her masters degree, she became the principal for Prague Elementary School in 1983, where she served until her retirement in 2012. Judy served for the students and the Prague community for over 37 years, where she greatly impacted many students.

Judy's family was her pride and joy. She loved being a grandmother and enjoyed watching them grow up. She also enjoyed spending time in her garden.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Mary Lucille Tucci.

Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 55 years, Mickey Hightower; two sons, Shawn Hightower of Oklahoma City and Blake Hightower of Prague; sisters, Alveda Bandoveris of Carefree, Arizona and Polly Holley and her husband, Jim, of Midwest City; brother-in-law, Jack Tucci of Odessa, Texas; granddaughters, Faith Vannoy and Jadyn Hightower; grandson, Tate Hightower; twin granddaughters, Paisley and Peyton Hightower and one great-granddaughter, Bella Vannoy and host of former students, family and friends.
