Juanita Frances Smith

Juanita Frances Mae Smith was born on October 24, 1917, in Tolan, Texas, and departed this life on Wednesday, October 7, 2009, in Prague, Oklahoma, at the age of 91. Juanita, the daughter of James Van and Rosa Lee (Martindale) Lewis, was a long-time resident of Paden having lived in Okfuskee County most of her life. She married Millard Clinton Smith on March 31, 1934 in Stigler, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on March 9, 1986. Juanita worked as a cook at Parkland Manor Nursing Center for 25 years and was a member of the Paden First Baptist Church. In her younger years, she was a member of the Paden Home Demonstration Club. Her parents and three sisters also preceded Juanita in death. Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Roger and Bonnie Smith of Prague, James and Dorothy Smith of Claremore; sister and brother-in-law, Oweta and Joe Ochoa of Port Lavaca, TX; seven grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.
