Joyce Jan Sands

Joyce Jan Sands, an Earlsboro, Oklahoma resident, was born on January 26, 1937, in Cloud Chief, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Monday, November 3, 2003, at her home at the age of 66. Joyce, the daughter of Emmett and Beulah Valentyne Weaver, married Hiram 'Buddy' Sands on November 8, 1985, in Prague, Oklahoma. She was a member of Highway Baptist Church and an LPN at Prague Municipal Hospital for over 20 years. Her parents; one brother, Jimmy Don Weaver; one sister, Arminita Jayne Weaver; and one son, Darrell Ainsworth, preceded Joyce in death. Survivors include her husband, Hiram 'Buddy' Sands of the home; daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Tracy Warkentien of Earlsboro, OK; brother and sister-in-law,Tim and Flora Weaver of Warr Acres, OK; sisters and brothers-in-law, Loyce and Vernon Taylor of Cordell, OK, Shirley and Tom Kelly of Las Vegas, NV; and 6 grandchildren. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, November 6, 2003, at 2:00 PM, at the Little Cemetery in Seminole County with Rev. Jewel Barrett officiating. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
