Joy Annette Lokey

Joy Annette Lokey, passed away on Monday, February 19, 2024 in Prague, Oklahoma, at the age of 82. Joy was born on December 25, 1941 in Eagletown, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Loaryne Everett and Beulah Margarat (Rodgers) Buchanan. Joy grew up in the Eagletown/Broken Bow area of Oklahoma.
In 1970, Joy and her family relocated to Prague, after living in the Harrah/Newalla and Shawnee area. She purchased Town and Country Ice Manufacturing in 1970 and owned and operated it until 1996, when she passed the business on to her daughter and it is now in their third generation of ownership.
Joy enjoyed spending time outdoors. She loved her time at Lake Eufaula, where she had her place at Porum Landing. She also enjoyed spending time with her daughter, Cindy, at their favorite casinos.
Joy was preceded in death by her parents and her daughter, Cindy Bullard.
She is survived by two granddaughters, Misty Dowell and her husband, Kent and Susan Kerr and her husband, Craig; two great-granddaughters, Jillian Bullard and Jeni Dowell; one great great-grandson, Andre Bullard and a host of family and friends.
