Joseph Francis Obsivac

Joseph Francis Obsivac was born on May 26, 1931, in Prague, OK, and departed this life on Wednesday, November 17, 2004, in Garland, TX, at the age of 73. Joe, the son of Joseph Michael and Edith Esther Irvine Obsivac, was a resident of Garland, TX. Joe served his country with the United States Coast Guard during the Korean Conflict. He was married to Ailsa Jayne Craig who predeceased him in 1982. Joe worked for Dunhill Tobacco for 15 years and was the owner/operator of Servi Cigars. His parents also preceded Joe in death. Survivors include sons and daughter-in-law, Michael J. Obsivac of Dallas, TX and Craig and Cathy Obsivac of Mesquite, TX; daughters and sons-in-law, Lynda and Floyd Miller of Mesquite, TX, Laura and Clark White of Mesquite, TX, and Cecilia and Doug Cooley of Wylie, TX; sister, Cece Thornton of Tecumseh, OK; 5 grandchildren; and 1 great-grandchild.
