Joseph A.N. "Frenchy" Leclerc

Joseph Arthur Norman 'Frenchy' Leclerc, age 76, of Harrah, OK, was born on August 1, 1935, in Woonsocket, Rhode Island. He was the son of Henry & Gertrude (Lepine) Leclerc. He left this life on Saturday, July 28, 2012, in Midwest City, OK. Frenchy served in the U. S. Air Force, during the Korean Conflict, retiring after 32 years of dedicated service to his country. After retirement from the military, he continued to serve the USAF for an additional 12 years as a government civilian at Tinker AFB, OK. Frenchy was a member of St. Teresa Catholic Church, Harrah, OK, a former member of the Masons and former member of the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed gardening, computers, photography, genealogy and traveling. Frenchy was a devoted husband, loving father, adoring grandfather, a great friend and will be greatly missed. Frenchy was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife,Francoise 'Francine' Leclerc, Harrah, OK; 3 children & spouses, Paulette & Todd Poynter, Kaiserslautern, Germany, Daniel Leclerc, Harrah, OK, Claudine & James Fields, Conway, AR; 2 brothers, Roger Leclerc, Florida, Robert Leclerc, Florida, 1 sister, Lucille Ouelette, Florida; 4 grandchildren, Brittany Hines, Kaitlin Hines, Michelle Fields, Todd Poynter, Jr. and many other relatives and friends. Rosary and wake will be 7:30 PM, Wednesday, August 1, 2012, at St. Teresa Catholic Church, Harrah, OK. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM, Thursday, August 2, 2012, at St. Teresa Catholic Church, Harrah, OK. Interment will follow at St. Teresa Catholic Cemetery, Harrah, OK. Services are under the direction of Smith~Parks Funeral Service in Harrah, OK.
