Johnny Gene Hall

Johnny Hall was born on June 8, 1938, in Keokuk, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Monday, January 25, 2010, in Prague, Oklahoma, at the age of 71. Johnny, the son of Archie R. and Lucy Christiana (Perry) Hall, was lifelong a resident of the Prague area and a graduate of Centerview High School. He retired from Tinker Air Force Base following 26 years of service. He served as a policeman for the City of Prague approximately 17 years and for the last 21 years was a member of the Prague City Council. Johnny worked for Sestak Farms for the last 15 years. He married Betty Jo (Taylor) Manley on February 16, 1990, in Bergman, Arkansas. Johnny loved to play in domino tournaments and referee basketball. But most of all, he loved to play with his great-grandchildren. His parents and one sister, Gracie Ann Hall, preceded Johnny in death. Survivors include wife, Betty Hall of the home; son, Jeff Hall and his friend, Jill Henderson, of Avilla, MO; daughter, Melinda and Ron Motley of Prague; step-children, Elaine and Jim Goff of Harrison, AR, Jeanie and Bobby Dandurand of Harrison, AR; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ray and Pat Hall of Little, Jim and Carol Hall of Purcell; sisters and brothers-in-law, Jane Cochran of Prague, Dreatha and Arlie Johnson of Prague; six grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; former wife and mother of his children, Mary Hall of Prague. Johnny’s family will receive friends at Parks Brothers Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 27, 2010, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 28, 2010 at 11:00 AM, at the First Baptist Church in Prague with Bro. Tim Emmons officiating. Interment will follow at the Prague Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
