Johnnie Thompson

Johnnie 'Butch' Thompson was born in Stroud, Oklahoma on August 25, 1943 and departed this life in Stroud, Oklahoma on Tuesday, December 30, 2008 at the age of 65 years. Johnnie was the son of Earl and Juanita Rutherford Thompson. He was a resident of Stroud all of his life. He was affiliated with the First United Methodist Church in Stroud and he retired from the Village Fire Department in Oklahoma City. He served in the United States Navy. He married Carole Flatt in Stroud on January 15, 1990. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include, Wife, Carole of the home, One Son, Raphe Thompson of Stroud, OK, One Daughter, Amber Neal & husband Randy of Stroud, OK, One Step Son, Bill Gosnell of Stroud, OK, One Step Daughter, Bobbi Parcell & husband Chris of Kingfisher, OK, Two Brothers & Sister in laws, Jimmie & Sandra Thompson of Tecumseh, OK, Ken E. and Sherry Thompson of Huntsville, Alabama, One Sister, Ruby Willis of Oklahoma City, OK, Seven Grandchildren, Phillip Parcell, Chesea Gosnell; John D. Neal, Caitlyn Parcell; Jodie Neal; Brittany Gosnell, Jane Neal, Two Great Grandchildren, Dylan Gosnell and Brookelynn Gosnell. Memorial services will be held at the First United Methodist Church in Stroud, Oklahoma on Friday, January 2, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Joe Molencupp and Chaplin Ted Wilson officiating. Service are under the direction of Parks Bothers Funeral Service in Stroud, Oklahoma.
