John Wilburn Rainwater Sr.

John Wilburn Rainwater was born in Stroud, Oklahoma on June 8, 1933 and departed this life in Stroud, Oklahoma on Friday, March 23, 2012 at the age of 78 years. John was the son of Louie and Ilda Thelma (English) Rainwater. John was a resident of Stroud most of his life. He was in the United State Army where he served in the Korean Conflict. He worked overseas in the oilfield for many years. He married Betty Russell in Stroud, OK November 1, 1953. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 daughter, Carolyn, two Step mothers, 1 brother and 1 grandson, Frankie. Survivors include, Wife, Betty of the home, One Son & Daughter in Law, John Jr. and Julie Rainwater of Stroud, One Daughter, Susan Rainwater of Yonkers, New York, Two Sisters, Wilma Russel of Seminole, OK, Thelma Melson of Denver, CO, Other relative and friends. Graveside service will be held at the Stroud Cemetery on Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. with Steve Black officiating. Service are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Stroud, Oklahoma.
