Obituary: John Wayne Stokes John Wayne Stokes, passed away on February 9, 2021 at his home in Chandler, Oklahoma. He was born in Sapulpa, Oklahoma on February 24, 1959 to Wanda Jean (Rich) Stokes and Robert William Stokes. John was a man of God and liked going to church wherever he felt at home. He was a good man who did what was right. He enjoyed many things but his favorite thing to do was spending time with his son and his grandkids. He also liked to fish. John grew up in the Oilton and Yale area and made his home in Chandler in recent years. He was a mechanic most of his life and made his living fixing cars. John was preceded in death by his father Robert Stokes; mother Wanda Stokes, brother James Stokes and sister Rita Cochran. He is survived by his son William Stokes; daughter Kelsey Cannon; grandchildren Daphne, Brennan, Aiden and Tenley; brother Paul Stokes and his wife, Toni; and his sisters Debbie and Sarah and her husband Wiley.
