John Smalling

John Marion Smalling, long-time Midwest City, OK, resident was born on November 19, 1940, in Sullivan County, Tenn., and departed this life on Friday, June, 2009, at the age of 68 years. John was the son of Clarence and Ann Lee (Glover) Smalling. He served in the United States Army then worked as a window glazier in the construction industry. John was a member of the Poplar Ridge Christian Church in Tenn. His father and one brother preceded John in death. Survivors include mother Ann Lee Smalling of Bluff City, TN, Two sons David Fleenor of Lexington, OK, John David Smalling of KS. One daughters & son-in-law Tammy & Jason Balliet of Chandler, OK. Three grandchildren John Chapman Balliet of Chandler, OK Taylor Wiedemann of Chandler, OK, David Sisk of OKC, OK. Five brothers David Smalling of Bluff City, TN,George Smalling of Bluff City, TN, Jerry Smalling of Hampton, TN Ronnie Smalling Newton, NC, Ricky Smalling of Bluff City, TN, one sister Karen Morris of Bluff City, TN. Other relatives and many friends. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, June 16, 2009, at the Rushing Wind Vineyard, 8801 Henley, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler.
