John Lew Messer

John Lew Messer was born in San Pedro, CA on September 19, 1958 and departed this life in Stroud, Oklahoma on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at the age of 58 years. John was the son of Albert 'Judge' and Bettie Sue (Sosbee) Messer. He was a resident of Stroud most of his life. He was affiliated with the First United Methodist Church in Stroud and worked for William Butcher Grocery as a Meat Processor. John loved to hunt and fish, and play a round of golf every now and then. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include, one son and daughter in law, Chris and Ashley Messer of Stroud, one brother and sister in law, Albert and Donna Messer of Stroud, one sister, Cissy Paige of Stroud, two grandchildren, Cheyanne and Ivy of Stroud, two nieces, Tiana and Jackie Paige, one nephew Seth Messer, several great nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends. Memorial service will be held at the First United Methodist Church in Stroud on Thursday, May 18, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Ge'rard Nsabimana & Darcy Hightower officiating. Service are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Stroud.
