John Freeman Keith

John Freeman Keith, Wellston, Oklahoma resident, was born on August 28, 1921, in Porum, Oklahoma and departed this life on November 9, 2003, at his home in Wellston, Oklahoma, at the age of 82 years. John was the son of Rubin and Bertha Gibson Keith. He married Marie Murphy in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on July 1, 1971. John served in the United States Army. He worked as an auto body repairman for many years and was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church in Wellston. John and his wife Marie took in over thirty foster children in the past twenty years. He was an avid golfer. His parents, one brother, one sister, and one stepson preceded John in death. Survivors include his wife, Marie Keith of the home; one step-son, James Bohin of Wellston, OK; one step-daughter, Sherry Shields of California; three brothers, Cecil Keith of Porum, OK, Charley Keith of Tulsa, OK, and Ralph Keith of Oklahoma City, OK; three sisters, Joan Call of Tulsa, OK, Alma Carter of Tulsa, OK, and Mary Pierce of Wagoner, OK; six grandchildren, Mark, James, & Michael Bohin, Lori Danker, Joey Shields and Gina Jones; eight great-grandchildren, Jesse and Jamie Bohin, Mitchell and Emilee Danker, Austin and Blake Shields, Haylee and Colton Jones and many relatives and friends.
