John F. Lacquement, Jr., 65, of Midwest City, OK, passed away Thursday, July 7, 2005. He was born July 15, 1939, in Prague, OK to John, Sr., and Ethel Poe Lacquement. John was a Master Mason of the Midwest City Lodge #532. He retired from Tinker Air Force Base in 1994. John?s life was extended by a heart transplant in 1995, a gift for which the family is eternally grateful. He also enjoyed deer hunting and antiquing. John loved to cook and was famous for his ribs. John was preceded in death by his parents; first wife of eight years, Carol Faye Peck; and brothers, Frank Lacquement of Bethel and Dean Lacquement of Yukon. Frank?s family was his life. Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Nelda of the home; sons and daughter-in-law, John Lacquement, III of Oklahoma City Jeffery and Phyllis Lacquement of Sallisaw, Eric Lacquement of Midwest City; step-daughter, Dana Pickett and her husband Gerald of Seminole; 4 grandchildren, Travis Lacquement of Oklahoma City, Keven and Jared Lacquement of Sallisaw, Taryn Harder and her husband Justin of Edmond; and a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visitation with the family will be at Parks Brothers Funeral Home in Prague on Sunday, July 10, 2005, from 4:00 PM ? 6:00 PM.
