John David Clarkson

John David Clarkson, former Chandler, Oklahoma, resident was born on December 25, 1948, in Chandler, and departed this life on September 14, 2014, in Oklahoma City, at the age of 65 years. John David was the son of Guy and Hazel Marie (Tharp) Clarkson. He graduated from Chandler High School in 1967. John David served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He married Kathryn Brown on March 15, 1982, in Chandler. John David worked for OG&E as a Customer Service Representative for many years. His parents preceded John David in death. Survivors include, his wife, Kathryn of the home, two sons and daughter-in-law, John David and Kelly Clarkson of Houston, Texas, and Daniel Clarkson of Edmond, Oklahoma; one daughter, Lisa Olsen, of Harrah, Oklahoma; two brothers, Kenneth 'Pinky' Chandler, and Charles Marshall Chandler; six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, other relatives and many friends. Graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, September 17, 2014, Oak Park Cemetery in Chandler, with Rev. Doyle Seeley officiating. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler.
