John Daniel Flowers

John Daniel Flowers was born August 22, 1917 in Meeker, Oklahoma to William R. & Malissa Della White Flowers and passed away Saturday February 24, 2007 in Shawnee, Oklahoma at 89 years of age. Mr. Flowers lived in the Meeker area his entire life. He was a farmer and carpenter. Mr. Flowers was a member of the Morning Star Baptist Church. He married Effie Marie Johnson on October 5, 1940. Marie preceded him in death on October 20, 2006. Also preceding him in death were his parents, 3 brothers, 1 sister and a daughter-in-law, Suzanne Flowers. Survivors include sons & daughters-in-law John Daniel, Jr. & Lindy Sue Flowers of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Ronald Dean Flowers of Shawnee, Oklahoma. Phillip Gene & Elaine Flowers of Meeker, Oklahoma. Sister, Lona Arwood of Springfield, MO. Grandchildren & spouses, Kevin and Cheryl Flowers, Dr. Bobby and LeeAnn Flowers, Steve and Sarah Flowers, Pam and Brian Thompson, William and Tarina Flowers, Loren and Sherri Wilson, Lance and Dawn Wilson, and Jennifer and David Ellis. Great Grandchildren 17. Viewing and visitation will be at the Parks Brothers Chapel in Meeker beginning on Sunday, February 25, 2007 at 4:00 PM. The family will receive friends for visitation on Monday, February 26, 2007 from 6:00 PM until 7:30 PM. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Morning Star Baptist Church Building Fund
