John Clinton Coleman

John Clinton Coleman was born on April 19, 1929, in Okfuskee County, and departed this life on Thursday, September 15, 2016, in Shawnee, Oklahoma, at the age of 87. John, the son of Earl August and Ella Ree (Holder) Coleman, was a resident of Sparks. He married JoAnn Heinzig on June 24, 1949 in Van Buren, Arkansas. John was one of the first firemen serving the Arlington Fire Department. He was a charter member of the Prague Round Up club and a 32 degree Mason. John enjoyed working with horses and cattle and cheating at checkers. He loved spending time with his grandchildren. His parents, five brothers and two sisters preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife of 67 yearsJoAnn Coleman of the home; daughter Phyllis Martin of Sparks; grandchildrenCassidy and Jesse Tolleson of Prague, Ashley and Kenneth Riddle of Shawnee; great grandchildren Brock, Logan and John C. Tolleson, Landin Hall and Lynsey West and many other family and friends. The Coleman family will receive friends on Sunday, September 18, 2016 from 3:00 – 5:00 PM at Parks Brothers Funeral Home in Prague. Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 19, 2016 at 2:00 PM, at Parks Brothers Funeral Service Chapel in Prague with JoeAnn Pritchett officiating. Interment will follow at Prague Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
