John Carlton Truesdell

John Carlton Truesdell, Tryon, OK, resident was born on January 17, 1938, in Kingston, TN, and departed this life Wednesday, January 18, 2012, in Las Vegas, NV, at the age of 74 years. John was the son of Jessie C. and Olive Paulene (Howard) Armour. He married Sharon Ann Blankenship on September 21, 1959, in Oklahoma City. Together they were on the road driving 18 wheelers for over 40 years. John served in the United States Air Force, stationed at Tinker Air Force Base. John and Sharon raised two children James Gail Truesdell who died in June of 1989, and Jacqueline C. Truesdell. John attended the Christian Union Church in Tryon, OK. His parents, and one son preceded John in death. Survivors include his wife, Sharon of the home. One daughter Jacqueline C. Truesdell of Tryon. Five grandchildren, James Gail Truesdell and wife, Kimberlyn, Alicia Renee Keating, and husband, Travis, Travis Lee Truesdell, Jennifer Anne Simerson and husband Garett, Kyle Dean Truesdell. Nine Great grandchildren, Macie Lynn Rae Truesdell, Lilliana Abigail Truesdell, Ashley Nicole Keating, Zoey Linnae Keatings, Carson Lee Trusedell, James Ryan Simerson, McKinnzie Dannyale Simerson, Chloa Bronwyne Simerson, Holden Garrett Simerson, and James Surber, a lifelong friend. Other relatives and many friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, January 27, 2012, at Parks Brothers Funeral Home Chapel in Chandler, OK, with Rev. Ted Gibson officiating. Burial will follow at the Tryon Cemetery, Tryon, OK. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler.
