John C. Simon

John C. Simon Sr., Chandler, Oklahoma, resident was born August 12, 1947, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He departed this life on July 27, 2019, in Oklahoma City, at the age of 71 years. John was the son of Lawrence and Melvadene (Eades) Simon. He graduated from Capitol Hill High School in 1965. John married T. Ann Pyle in 1966, and later married Cecilia Davis in 1998. John retired from Tinker Air Force Base in 1995, and began working for United Country Real Estate Company that same year till present. He enjoyed camping at the lake, attending auto races, collecting trains, hot wheels, anything Earnhardt, and everything else under the sun. John was a man of many hobbies. Preceding John in death were his parents. Survivors include his wife, Cecilia of the home; her children, Heidi Tosh and husband Jeremy of Unionville, Iowa; John Simon III and his wife Shannon of Stillwater; John's children, Christine Bridge and husband Merlin R. of Davenport; John Simon Jr. and Annette Hawkins of Chandler; one brother and sister-in-law, Joe and Liz Simon; five sisters and brothers-in-law, Marie and Paul Edgemon, Judy Miller, Joyce and John Sparks, Janet and Tim Felton, Jocelyn and John Wilbanks; grandchildren, James Hawkins and wife Jess, Brandon Hawkins, Brittany Want and husband Dalton, Mathew, Shawna, Alexa, Cryslen, Taylen and Dylan Bridge, Thomas, Travis and Magdahllyn Heartley, Laytin and Cora Tosh, KarliAnn, Kaitlyn and Kristyn Simon; great-grandchildren, Roman Hawkins, and Jensen McClellan; other relatives and many friends. A Wake will be held at 7:00 PM, Thursday, August 1, 2019, at the Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Chandler, the Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, August 2, 2019, at the Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Chandler with Father Timothy Ruckel officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler, Oklahoma.
