Joe Franklin Hickman

Joe Franklin Hickman, age 83, of Newalla, OK, was born on January 9, 1931, in Rosston, OK. He was the son of John Wesley & Iona Viola (Huff) Hickman. He left this life on Sunday, October 19, 2014, in McLoud, OK. Joe proudly served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. He married Virginia Duncan on December 25, 1961, in Woodward, OK. Joe retired from Tinker AFB where he was a computer specialist. He was a member of the Apostolic Faith. Joe liked airplanes, making things such as furniture and enjoyed raising chickens, pigs and cattle. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, John Wesley Hickman, Jr., Roy Lee Hickman, Lester Vernon Hickman and one sister, Esther Jewel Hickman. Survivors include his wife, Virginia Hickman, Newalla, OK; niece & nephew, Mary & Daniel Doc and many other relatives and friends. Graveside services will be held 1:00 PM, Wednesday, October 22, 2014, at Sunny Lane Cemetery, Del City, OK. Services are under the direction of Smith~Parks Funeral Service in Harrah, OK.
