Joe Edward Gilliland

Joe Gilliland, 92, passed away on May 12, 2020, in McKinney, Texas. Joe was born on December 4, 1927, in Alhambra, CA. He graduated from Wichita Falls High School in 1945 and went on to earn a bachelor’s degree from Texas Tech and a master’s degree from Oklahoma State University both in Chemical Engineering. Joe was affiliated with the Boston Avenue Methodist Church in Tulsa and a member of the American Institute of Chemical Engineering. He enjoyed Gardening and was active with the Boy Scouts including the recognition of "Silver Beaver". He is survived by his wife, Wilma, his children Jane and Paul, and his grandchildren Amy, David, Taylor, and Alison. Graveside services for Joe will be held at 1:00 pm on May 16, 2020, at Osage Cemetery in Agra, Oklahoma.
