Joe Don Irick

Joe Don Irick, of Choctaw, Oklahoma, passed away Monday, January 31, 2022, at the age of 59. He was born July 12, 1962, in Prague, Oklahoma. Joe was the son of John Lee Irick and Elizabeth Loraine Irick. He was raised in Paden, Oklahoma and attended Paden Schools until graduation in 1980. Joe worked in the oil field as an operator for 15 years. He later moved on to Exxon Mobil for the next 16 years. Joe retired from working on the family farm. He was a dedicated and hard-worker. Joe was generous, caring, loving and a helpful man. Everyone that met him said he made them feel comfortable and welcome. Joe will forever be missed and loved. In November 11, 1981, he married Sherry Kim Chancellor. The two were married for forty years. They had one daughter together, Terran Meghan Irick. Joe was preceded in death by his father, John Lee Irick; and brother, John Merle Irick. Joe is survived by his wife of 40 years, Sherry Kim (Chancellor) Irick; daughter Terran Meghan Irick and fiancé Steven Robert Stefanick; grandson Lincoln Sage Irick; mother Elizabeth Irick; three sisters Carol Friend, Jeanne Irick, LeEtta Conway and brother-in-law John Conway; sister-in-law Judy Irick and one brother, Travis "Andy" Irick. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
