Joann Lindsay

Joann Lindsay was born on June 15, 1934, in Knoxville, TN, and departed this life Friday, May 29, 2009, in Wellston, OK, at the age of 74 years. Joann, the daughter of Amos and Gladys (Hamilton) Buckner. Joann worked for over 30 years as a secretary for the Oklahoma Baptist Convention and was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and two sisters, survivors include, two daughters & sons-in-laws, Susan & Paul Gordon of Wellston, OK, Karen & Kevin Johansen of Denver, CO, sons, Hugh Douglas Lindsay of Noble, OK, Bruce Lindsay of Okla. City, OK, one brother, Ed Buckner of Knox, TN, one sister, Sara Ruth Cripin of MS, five Grandchildren, two great grandchildren. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, June 5, 2009, at Parks Brothers Funeral Home Chapel in Chandler with Rev Hugh Willoby officiating. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler.
