Joan Marie Coleman

Joan Marie Coleman was born on April 2, 1945, in Prague, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Tuesday, January 14, 2014, in Shawnee, Oklahoma, at the age of 68. Joan, the daughter of John Clifford and Marie (Harwell) Stricklin, was a resident of Prague. She married Billy Earl Coleman on December 7, 1993, in Chandler. She attended Paden High School and graduated with the Class of 1963. She was a member of the Paden First Baptist Church. Joan enjoyed yard work, the rodeo, and roping. Her husband, parents, and nephew, Kurtis Stricklin, preceded Joan in death. Survivors include: son and daughter-in-law, David Martin and his wife, Anna Maria Rodriguez of Norman; grand-daughter, Lia Martin of Norman; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bill and Dorothy Stricklin of Webbers Falls, Jerry and Lee Stricklin of Paden, and Wayne and Kristi Stricklin of Paden; sister and brother-in-law, Kay and Johnnie Wallis of Paden; numerous other family and friends. The Stricklin family will receive friends on Thursday, January 16, 2014 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Parks Brothers Funeral Home in Prague. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 17, 2014 at 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church in Paden with Bro. Terry Pittman officiating. Interment will follow at Paden Cemetery.
