Joan Margett Marks

Joan Margett Marks was born in Bristow, Oklahoma on October 24, 1932 and departed this life in Stroud, Oklahoma on Monday, September 1, 2014 at the age of 81 years. She is the daughter of Gus and Iantha (Rodebush) Holmes. Joan has spent most of her life in Stroud. She was a member of the Free Will Baptist Church in Stroud and worked as a waitress. She married Lendon Marks in Shamrock, Oklahoma on February 20, 1971. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother, one sister and 2 grandchildren. Survivors include: Six sons, Tommy Bigbey & wife Phillis of Stroud, Fred Bigbey of Covington, Jack Bigbey of Stroud, Gary Bigbey of Stroud, Wayne Marks of Oklahoma City, Michael Marks of Oklahoma City, Two daughter,Wanda Collier & husband Ronald of Hennessey Terry Marks of Moore Ten Grandchildren, Twenty hhree great grandchldren, Four great great grandchildren, Other relative and many friends Funeral service will be held at the Parks Brothers Chapel in Stroud on Friday, September 5, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. with Rev. Ron Keeling officiating. Burial will follow in the Stroud Cemetery, Stroud, Oklahoma under the direction of Parks Brothers. Funeral Service in Stroud.
