Joan Lynn DeArmond of Chandler, Oklahoma passed away on Saturday, February 29, 2020 in Chandler, Oklahoma at the age of 77 years. Joan Lynn DeArmond was born on July 25, 1942 in Dayton, Ohio. She was the daughter of Denver and Glenna (Butler) Thompson. She grew up and attended school in Dayton, Ohio and graduated from West Carrollton High School in 1960. Following her education at NCR in Dayton, she worked building cash registers. On January 4, 1964 she married David Ray DeArmond in West Manchester, Ohio. They ranched and lived in various states until 1984 when they moved to Chandler, Oklahoma, where they continued to ranch. David preceded her in death in 2006, and she continued to make Chandler her home. Joan was preceded in death by her parents and three infant sons. She is survived by 2 daughters, Jody Lynn Vaughn and husband Chris of Chandler, DeeDee Lewis DeArmond-Anderson and husband Mark of Chandler; one bonus son, Jason Bill and wife Shelly of New Caney, Texas; one brother Thomas Thompson of Brighton, Colorado; two sisters, Lana Miller of Denver, Colorado and Catherine McCullough of Longmont, Colorado; eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00pm on Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at the Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel in Chandler, Oklahoma officiated by Jimmy Watts.
