Jimmy Don Morris

Jimmy Don Morris, known by most, as Possum, was a longtime resident of Prague and passed away on Thursday, March 3, 2022 in Chandler, Oklahoma, at the age of 69. Jimmy was born on February 19, 1953 in Prague, Oklahoma. He was the son of Malone and Ima (Williams) Morris. Jimmy grew up in Prague and attended Prague Schools. He was a proud graduate of Prague High School, graduating with the class of 1971. Jimmy made Prague his home for many years, until moving into the Chandler Nursing Home several years ago. Jimmy worked for many years at Prague Wholesale, before owning and operating the Last Chance Bar in Prague. He loved spending time at the bar and serving and visiting with his many loyal customers. When Jimmy wasn’t working at the bar, he enjoyed going out and checking cattle, watching westerns or a football game on television. He also enjoyed playing dominoes and bingo. Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents; sister and brother-in-law, Jean and Warren Dale Wallis; sister, Linda McConnell and his niece, Elwanda Billins. He is survived by his sister, Geraldine and Dwayne Middleton; brother-in-law, Lewis McConnell; one niece, Katie Sargent; nephews, Gary Wallis, Jeff McConnell, Greg McConnell and Terry Middleton and a host of friends. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
