Jimmie Keith Benedix

Jimmie Keith Benedix, age 80, of Harrah, OK, was born on March 30, 1931, in Harrah, Oklahoma. He was the son of Frank & Rose Wilhelmina (Gordel) Benedix. He left this life on Thursday, May 26, 2011, in Harrah, OK. Jimmie graduated from Harrah High School. He married Anita Shields on July 26, 1956, in Shawnee, OK. Jimmie worked as a scheduling chief at Tinker AFB, retiring after 32 years and was a past member of the Harrah Lions Club. Jimmie enjoyed building bird houses and feeders, watching birds and gardening. Jimmie was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister. Survivors include his wife, Anita Benedix, Harrah, OK; son & daughter-in-law, Dannie & Tori Benedix, Harrah, OK; 2 daughters & sons-in-law, Paula & Tony McDaniel, McLoud, OK, Terri & Duane Richardson, Harrah, OK; sister, Bettie Boughen, Harrah, OK; 7 grandchildren, Kevin, Donnie, Jeremy, Stefan, Shelby, Mackenzie 6 great-grandchildren, Riley, Madisyn, Gavyn, Jaxson, Taylor & Avery and many other relatives and friends. Graveside services will be held 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, May 31, 2011, at Dale Cemetery, Dale, OK, with Mr. Marty Kessler officiating. Services are under the direction of Smith~Parks Funeral Service in Harrah, OK.
