Jim Alan Wood passed away at the age of 73. He was born to Ralph and Lorene Wood on October 16 1947 in Wichita, Kansas. Jim, an All-American man through and through. He served his country completing 4 tours of duty in Vietnam as a member of the US Navy. Early in life Jim was a deputy sheriff, ambulance driver, firefighter, insurance salesman, but found his passion as a farmer and a truck driver for the last 40 years. Jim met and then married Beverly Boykin on December 23, 1978 in Mesquite, Texas. They moved to Chandler area shortly after. In his free time, Jim enjoyed being outside; he enjoyed his tractors and also his animals. His cows were the biggest pets known, as were his dogs. He even fed the squirrels and birds. Jim was a very kind man, but also very strong headed in things he believed in. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him. Jim is survived by his wife of 42 years Beverly Wood; son Stewart Campbell and wife Tracie; son Mike Wood and wife Alyse; daughter Alisha Wood; grandchildren Zac and wife Braydi, Chase, Braden, Brinley and great grandchildren Cash and Winsley; also a special cousin Doris Smithee, as well as many nieces and nephews and extended family and friends. Jim is preceded in death by his parents Ralph and Lorene Wood.
