Jessy Luther Rains

Jessy Luther Rains was born in Stroud, Oklahoma on June 2, 1926 and departed this life in Stroud, Oklahoma on Wednesday, December 7, 2011 at the age of 85 years. Jessy was the son of Luther and Estelle O'Kelly Rains. Jessy was a resident of Stroud, Oklahoma most of his life. After retiring from the United States Air Force where he served in WWII, he went to work at Tinker Air Force Base as a mechanic . He was a member of the First Christian Church. He married Glenda Owens in Stroud, Oklahoma on October 2, 2003. He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers and one sister. Survivors include, Wife, Glenda of the home, One Brother Wayne Rains of Yukon, OK, Others relatives and frineds. Memorial graveside will be held at the Davenport Cemetery on Monday, December 12, 2011 at 10:00 A.M. with Rev. Paul Ragle officiating. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Stroud, Oklahoma.
