Jesse Leo Yates

Jesse Leo Yates was born to Jim Jones and Agnes (Henry) Yates on August 13, 1927 and departed this life on October 07, 2023 in Prague, Oklahoma at the age of 96. Jesse married Ruby Ann in 1948 in Gainesville, Texas and the two were married for 54 years. Together they had three children. Jesse enjoyed spending time in his garden. He worked as a roofer for more than forty years and also proudly served his country in the United States Army.
Jesse was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter, Sharron Wolford; his granddaughter, Stephanie Wolford; three brothers: Lloyd, Jim and Charles Yates and 1 sister Ima Jean Gann.
He is survived by his son: Jesse Linn Yates of Prague; his daughter, Jerry Lewis of Shawnee; his brother: Floyd Yates of Norman, numerous grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
A graveside service is scheduled for 2:00 PM on Friday, October 13, 2023 at Prague Cemetery.
Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service of Prague.
