Jerry Lee Watkins of Seminole, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on April 6, 2025, at the age of 83. He was born on December 26, 1941, in Prague, Oklahoma, to Bernie Doolin Watkins and Gladys Ethel (Ellis) Watkins.
Jerry was a proud graduate of Capitol Hill High School, class of 1960. On May 18, 1962, he married the love of his life, Suzanne Harper, in Seminole, Oklahoma, and together they built a life filled with love, faith, and devotion.
A hardworking man throughout his life, Jerry held positions at Western Electric and Capitol Hill Ice Cream Company before retiring from Tinker Air Force Base. His strong work ethic was matched only by his enthusiasm for life outside of work. He cherished time spent at their beloved lake home at Lake Eufaula, where he proudly served as the "chief boat driver" for countless family outings. In his younger days, Jerry enjoyed racing cars on Friday nights at the State Fair Raceway—a passion he remembered fondly.
Jerry was also a man of deep faith, serving for many years as a deacon at Praise Assembly of God Church in Seminole. His dedication to his church and community was an inspiration to all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved son, Randy Watkins.
Jerry is survived by his devoted wife, Suzanne Watkins, of the home; his daughter, Kristi Walker and her husband, Robert, of Noble, Oklahoma; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. His legacy of love, faith, and service will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
