Jerry Dale Mcanally

Jerry Dale McAnally Sr., a lifelong resident of Prague, passed away on Thursday, January 4, 2024 in Shawnee, Oklahoma, at the age of 61. Jerry was born on Thursday, January 25, 1962 in Prague, Oklahoma. He was the son of Clarence Ray and Jarvis "Pansy" (Davis) McAnally. Jerry grew up on a farm in Prague and attended Prague Schools. After school, Jerry went straight to work and to raising a family. He married Donna Ann Oldham in 1979 and the two stood by each other for forty-four years. Together, they made their home in Prague and raised three children. Jerrica, Jeremy, and Jerry Dale Jr. "JD."
Jerry worked for many years in the oil field. While in the oilfield, he had many job duties. When the oilfield work slowed down, Jerry invested in his own truck. He started McAnally Trucking and drove many miles over several years.
In his spare time, Jerry enjoyed working in his yard, cooking out and driving around town. One of his favorite past times was visiting people. Whether it be visiting his neighbors, Holik's Service Station or just calling and texting his grandchildren throughout the day, Jerry was always happy to have a chat. He also enjoyed helping his father-in-law on his farm, feeding cattle and taking him to the sales.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Jeremy McAnally and four brothers, Marcus Ray McAnally, Steve Allen McAnally, Freddy Joe McAnally and Phillip Wayne McAnally.
He is survived by his loving wife of forty-four years, Donna Ann McAnally of the home; his daughter, Jerrica Ake; his son, Jerry Dale "JD" McAnally Jr of Prague; five grandchildren, Darrian Mills, Trevor Mills, Mackenzie Mills, Jaylynn McAnally and Jayden McAnally; his brother, Keven McAnally and his wife, Lori; his sister, Deneen Carter and her husband, Chris, and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 PM on Tuesday, January 9, 2024 at Calvary Way Church in Prague. Burial will immediately follow at Garden Grove Cemetery in Prague. The family will accept guests from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, January 8, 2024 at Parks Brothers Funeral Service of Prague.
