Jerry Dale Fortelney

JERRY FORTELNEY Jerry Dale Fortelney, age 58, of Harrah, OK was born June 25, 1959. He was the son of Tony and Mary Fortelney. Baby Jerry was the younger (2 minutes) twin brother, Larry Fortelney. Jerry went to be with the Lord on Christmas Day, Dec. 25, 2017. He was a graduate of Harrah High School and like many of his Polish/Ukrainian neighbors, Jerry became a lifelong farmer in the Harrah Community and was known for his high quality hay products. Jerry was well-known as a colorful, work hard, play hard guy with many friends. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Tony and Mary Fortelney. He is survived by his son, Anthony and yet to be born grandchild which he so much looked forward to arriving. He was so happy he was going to be a Papa. He is also survived by his twin brother Larry Fortelney, brother Frank and wife Jan Fortelney, sisters Karen and husband Bob Hightower, and Janett and husband Maurice LeBlanc; two nieces, one nephew and many other relatives. Trisagion will be Thursday at 7 p.m with services at 10 a.m. Friday at Asa Smith Memorial Chapel at Asa Smith Funeral Service. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Ukrainian Orthodox Cemetery, Harrah.
