Jerrie Marie Burchette

Jerrie Marie Burchette was born on December 11, 1934, in Norman, OK, and departed this life on Saturday, June 16, 2018, in Oklahoma City, OK, at the age of 83. Jerrie, the daughter of Green and Effie (McKiddy) Nuckols, was a resident of Oklahoma City. She married Oscar Ray Burchette on October 8, 1953. Ray preceded her in death in 2005. Jerrie was proud of her work as a mechanic at Tinker Air Force Base. She was a faithful member of Meeker Assembly of God Church. She enjoyed volunteering and delivering meals for the senior citizens center. Jerrie was a devoted mother and created treasured traditions such as twist frozen yogurt when shopping at the beginning of school years. She was known to get very happy about something and exclaim it would “tickle me pink!”. Jerrie leaves special memories such as when she put salt in Grandpa’s coffee instead of sugar. She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed. Jerrie was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sister, Gean McCown and brother, Don Nuckols. Jerrie is survived by her sons, Ronnie Ray Burchette of Del City and Russell Scott Burchette of Prague; grandchildren, Brandon James and wife, Sammie Burchette of Clarksville, KY, Chandra and husband, Sky Buckmaster of Del City, Lindsie Kirkland, Kevin Keel and Levi Keel; 8 great grandchildren; one great grandchild on the way; nieces, nephews and numerous other family and friends. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 22, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Meeker Assembly of God Church with Reverend William Foreman officiating. Interment will follow at Rossville Cemetery. Service are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
