J.D. ?Jack? Manning, lifelong Chandler, Oklahoma, resident was born on September, 5, 1928, in Midlothian, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Monday, June 4, 2007, at his home in Chandler, at the age of 78 years. Jack was the son of Oscar and Etta Connor Manning. He served in the United States Army in the European Theater. Jack married Norma Jean Waters on June 19, 1953, in Shawnee, Oklahoma. He worked as a Technician for Western Electric, retiring in 1983. Jack was a member of Chandler Masonic Lodge having received his 32nd degree. He enjoyed farming, fishing and hunting, especially fishing with his grandchildren. His parents, three brothers and three sisters preceded Jack in death. Survivors include, Wife of 53 years, Norma Jean of the home, Daughter & son-in-law, Lisa & Jess Neal of Colorado Springs, CO, Three sons & daughters-in-law, Lynn & Lesa Manning of Meeker, OK, Mike & Tracy Manning of Marion, IN, Gary & Karen Manning of Newalla, OK, One brother, Eldredge Manning of Grand Prairie, TX, Eight grandchildren, Lynsey Manning of Shawnee, OK, Lacey & Laney Manning of Meeker, OK, Tobey, Eleana & Rachel Manning of Marion, IN, Kacey & Kelsey Manning of Newalla, OK, Other relatives and many friends.
