Janice Gathel Allen, McLoud, OK, age 74, was born on July 3, 1937, in Fanshaw, OK. She was the daughter of Troy & Lillian (Martindale) Askew. She left this life on Wednesday, May 2, 2012, in Shawnee, OK. Janice was a homemaker and a member of New Life Baptist Church. Janice was preceded in death by her parents and brother, John Askew. She is survived by her son & daughter-in-law, Virgle & Lola Allen, McLoud, OK; daughter, Terresa Allen, Norman, OK; brother, Leonard Askew, Bartlesville, OK; 2 sisters, Stella Lewis, Dewey, OK, Margaret Steitler, Dewey, OK; 4 grandchildren, Shaun Michael Allen & wife, Maranda, Kenneth Ray Allen, Tonya S. Robins & husband, Brett, Shaunna M. Smith; 5 great-grandchildren, Nicona Lindsey Lane, Zachariah Cody Allen Smith, Hallie Nichole Robins, Grady Cole Robins, Taylor Kole Allen, Soon to be Baby Allen and many other relatives and friends. Services will be 2:00 PM, Saturday, May 5, 2012, at New Life Baptist Church Newalla, OK, with Rev. Mark Patterson officiating. Interment will follow at Dale Cemetery, Dale, OK. Services are under the direction of Smith~Parks Funeral Service in Harrah, OK
