James "Skip" Edward Cruse

May 29, 1953 — February 3, 2020

James “Skip” Edward Cruse was born May 29, 1953 in Levelland, Texas and departed this life on February 3, 2020 in Depew, Oklahoma at the age of 66. James was born to Jesse David Cruse and Viola (Blaylock) Redden. He attended high school in Sapulpa, Oklahoma until he left his senior year at the age of 17 to join the Army. After four years in the United States Army he returned home to figure out that the military is where he belonged. He reenlisted in the United States Navy and served twenty-two years. He was a proud military man that served as an aircraft mechanic. He served two tours of Duty during Vietnam War time and has multiple service medals. He also loved to ride motorcycles. He is preceded in death by his parents, step father John Redden, brother Bill Gowen, and sister Goldie Strang. Survivors include his three sisters; Jessie Neal and husband Roger of Sapulpa, Linda Bowen of Sapulpa, and Ada Allison and husband Herbert of Gore.
