James Robert Wilson

James Robert Wilson, 66, born July 29, 1938 in Cranston, Rhode Island was welcomed by Jesus to his eternal home on January 10, 2005, after a long battle with cancer. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Harold and Margaret Wilson; father-in-law, Roy Meyer; one brother-in-law and 3 sisters-in-law. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Peggy Wilson of McLoud, OK; son, James C. Wilson and wife, Rhonda of Brownwood, TX; son, Randall Wilson and friend, Russell Schultz of Yukon, OK; daughter, Cynthia Capp and husband, Dave of Walnut Bottom, PA; daughter, Deborah Scowden and husband, Steve of Moore, OK; mother-in-law, Rose Meyer of Hastings, NE; brother, John Wilson of Springfield, MO; and brother-in-law, Tom Vaughn of Harrah, OK. Also survived by twenty grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and friends, many from several military and non-military camping clubs. James retired from the United States Air Force in 1977 after serving 21 years. He also retired from GM in 1998 after working 19 years. Memorial donations may be made to St. Anthony Foundation, Frank C. Love Cancer Institute, 826 NW 11th, OKC, OK 73106. Viewing with family and friends on Wednesday, January 12, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Smith-Parks Funeral Service in Harrah, OK. Services will be held Thursday, January 13th at 2:00 p.m. at Asa Smith Memorial Chapel, Harrah, OK. Burial will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 14, 2005 at the Ft. Sill National Cemetery in Elgin, OK. Services are under the direction of Smith-Parks Funeral Service, Harrah, OK.
