James R Williams

James Ross Williams passed away at the age of 74. He was born to Ross and Flossie Williams on September 15, 1946 in Hays, KS. James spent most of his younger years in Kansas and moved to Lincoln County community in 2009. James was in law enforcement for years serving in different capacities such as a police officer and also 911 dispatcher. He also was an insurance adjuster for some time. He served his country and was a member of the US Navy. In his free time, James really enjoyed being outside watching birds and also wood working. He also enjoyed painting, cooking, gardening and photography. He also liked getting to work on computers. James will be greatly missed by all that knew him. James is survived by his wife of 21 years Janis (Placker) Williams of the home; son Scott Williams and wife Krickett of Zionsville, IN; son Jeff Williams and wife Mikki of Terre Haute, IN; step-daughter Shannon Nicolas and husband Shannon of Chandler; step-daughter Shelly Oliver of Warr Acres; grandson Tyler Williams of Terre Haute, IN; grandson Garrett Nicholas of Stillwater; granddaughter Lindy Nicholas of Stillwater; grandson Brogan Oliver of Warr Acres; grandson Rhys Oliver of Warr Acres; grandsons Sam, Luke and Joe Williams of Zionville, IN; twin brother John Williams of Alva, OK; ex-wife Kay Williams of Terr Haute, IN and extended family and friends.
