James "Doc" Paul McCaslin was born on September 17, 1961 in Tulsa, Oklahoma and departed this life on September 13, 2023 in Oklahoma City, at the age of 61. Doc was the son of Andrew "Doc" James McCaslin and Pauline Vesta Ballinger. Doc grew up in Paden and attended Paden Public Schools. Doc lived all over but Paden was always his home. Doc grew up as a member of the First Baptist Church of Paden.
Doc enjoyed hunting, fishing and riding his motorcycle. His favorite hobby was spending time with his beloved family, especially his son, Andy. Doc had a big heart and a great sense of humor. He never met a stranger and would give the shirt off his back to anyone who needed it. He loved to prank his friends and family and enjoyed making them laugh.
Doc was preceded in death by his parents; his grandparents, William Andrew McCaslin, Ruby Mae Blevins and Avis Green; two brothers, Gene McCaslin and Donald Biggers and one sister, Diane Biggers.
Those left to cherish his memory are his son, Andy McCaslin and his fiance, Dustie Beeman; his daughter, Jamie Lynn Flores; three grandchildren, Trystan McCaslin, Carly McCaslin and Jackson Flores; the love of his life, Stephanie Clonts; four sisters, Ruby Diane Davis, JoAnn Flanery, Ruby Faye McCaslin and Morris Ann Biggers and host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 PM on Saturday, September 16, 2023 at the First Baptist Church of Paden. Burial will immediately follow at Oakdale Cemetery in Paden.
