James Paul Lamb

James Paul Lamb was born on November 4, 1919, in Mayesville, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Thursday, January 31, 2008, in Seminole, Oklahoma, at the age of 88. Paul, the son of William Jackson and Mary Josephine Seeley Lamb, was a long-time resident of Sparks. He married Mildred Margaret Ellis on February 22, 1943, in Walters, Oklahoma. Paul retired from Tinker Air Force Base where he was a mechanic. Following his retirement, he raised cattle. He was a member of Family of Faith Church in Shawnee. Paul was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, one brother, and one great-grandson. Survivors include, his wife of 65 years, Mildred Lamb of the home; daughters, Paula Carpenter of Skiatook; Sharon Short and her husband Stanley of Wewoka; 5 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 4, 2008 at 2:00 PM, at Family of Faith Church in Shawnee with Dr. Sam Matthews officiating. Interment will follow at Kellerby Cemetery in Prague . Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
